Design Brief-

Leonore was custom built for a US Based Purchaser for the purpose of fast passage-making with a smaller crew aboard.  Specific emphasis was being able to steer, trim and otherwise handle the sails with limited crew from the cockpit.  The design of the deck layout and gear chosen accomplish this by keeping the hydraulicly powered sail controls and electric powered winches within easy reach.

The pilothouse offers fantastic views in a climate-controlled environment while sailing or on the mooring.  The lower decks, feature a beautiful teak interior with ample space for entertaining and relaxing with a galley any chef will appreciate.  A large aft cabin offers exceptional space and privacy for the owners, 2 cabins forward of the salon provide accommodation for guests and/or crew, both have ensuite heads.

A serious engine room which at the time of her launch, was considered to be the largest of its kind for an 80’ Yacht.

The combination of the “Paine Keel” and the Matrix Carbon Fiber Masts provides exception performance and stability.

Pilothouse-

It is a long, low design- so low in fact, the person steering in the cockpit can see over the top while standing upon a purpose-built step which doubles as a storage box.  There is a sheltered steering station inside the pilothouse which uses the autopilot controls rather than a wheel for steering. Engine controls and navigation monitors are provided here as well. This area is largely open to the forward accommodations, enhancing the feeling of light and space.
