Manufacturer Provided Description

The Ocean Alexander 51 Pilothouse Sedan was specifically commissioned as a performance sports cruiser, with the capability to take power units of up to 1500 hp in total. A wide beam of 16 feet, 4 inches provides palatial accommodation spaces, while the lines have retained the familiar Ocean Alexander - Ed Monk look. This craft offers a low aft cockpit (level with the saloon) which allows easy access to the water through the wide transom door. The highest quality fixtures and fittings are used throughout the boat, and while the basic specification is very comprehensive, the list of options and extras available is exhaustive. One of the most notable features of the interior finishing is the extraordinary quality of joiner work which is normally executed in golden teak, although other timber species may be selected. The standard interior layout offers a main deck house, saloon, galley, and a small dinette that is cleverly combined with the lower helm station. Seating, tables, and cabinetry can be supplied in accordance with the owners requirements. Below there are three double staterooms and two heads, both with stall showers. However, options ranging up to the 735 hp 8V92 Detroits can be fitted, and with this configuration top speeds of almost 24 knots can be achieved. The 51 Sedan is very robustly built and, with Ed Monk's reputation for producing true all-weather power cruisers, this craft bridges the gap between traditional semi displacement handling and all-out planing hull performance.

Accommodations

The Ocean Alexander 51' Raised Pilot House Sedan features three generous sized staterooms, one with in-suite head and stall shower. The other two share an over sized head with stall shower.

The 3 Stateroom layout with Galley up pilothouse with good visibility inside helm station. Large island master bed with 2 side staterooms and double berth.  Owners Cabin forward has ensuite head complete with Tub/Shower combo.
